The End picture for soon to be published Tales from Frewyn :The Opera novella :)

"The only remembrance anyone had of the ill-fated and original opera was an order that was sent to the Larkins’ masonry for a stone fountain resembling the image of the beast on the invitation. It would be a simple and rather jagged piece to carve, but its patron was willing to pay any price to have it made exactly as the card described. It was delivered  to the patron’s cottage in Tyfferim and installed by Shayne at the back of the house where Martje might change the rose in the giant’s mouth every other day [...]while recalling her one moment of satisfied vengeance."
